MAIN DUTIES
• Participate in the integration of the multidisciplinary team, seeking to guarantee comprehensive assistance to the patient and family members;
• Record information relevant to nursing care in the patient's medical records and other documents;
• Maintain technical and scientific updates on individual, collective and environmental biosafety, which allows professional action to be carried out effectively in routine and emergency situations, aiming to interrupt and/or prevent accidents or occurrences that may cause physical or environmental damage;
• Participate in patient and family guidance and education programs with a focus on preventing risks and injuries, aiming to improve the client's quality of life;
• Maintain hygiene in the environment around the patient, through terminal and concurrent cleaning of equipment.
• Assist in the prevention and systematic control of harm to patients during health care, through the fulfillment of patient safety goals to avoid adverse and/or sentinel events.
• Assist the multidisciplinary team in technical procedures, by providing the resources needed to carry out such procedures as collecting materials and exams, bedside procedures, walking, upper airway aspiration, passing devices, dressings, among others.
• Assist in transporting patients who use wheelchairs, are bedridden or have difficulty walking;
• Carry out control and replacement of disposable materials, as well as control of their validity;
• Perform routine use of PPE when handling and administering non-chemotherapeutic agents and when disposing of medicines, biological materials, sharp objects, chemicals and common waste, in an appropriate place and correctly, following internal rules;
• Ensure the conservation of assets, requesting maintenance, repair and/or replacement whenever necessary;
• Provide nursing care to surgical patients in pre- and post-operative periods, based on observed needs and following the SAE, complying with the standards, regulations and legislation relevant to the area of activity.
